Nomenus is a service organization; our members are the people who keep Wolf Creek going. Most of our work isn't especially visible to the many faeries who come to gatherings or visit – but without it, the place couldn't stay open! (See our About page.)
Do you want to give back to the place? When you see how people blossom and heal at gatherings, do you want to see more of that happen? Do you have skills in group process, conflict mediation, graphic arts, writing, or building trades? Want to hang out with faeries who're dedicated to service? Any of those are great reasons to join Nomenus.
Membership in Nomenus has two levels:
Supporting members sign up to be informed of what's going on; you're free to participate, but there's no commitment. You'll have access to our minutes, and be notified about the twice-yearly Great Circle (where all of us set the overall direction for the group).
Active members commit to volunteer work – whether that's participating in a committee, joining work parties and projects, or any of the other pieces that keep us going. You need to be a supporting member for a year before making the commitment to active membership.
Nomenus membership is open to: any Radical Faerie or friend who:
supports the mission of Nomenus (to create, preserve and manage places of spiritual and cultural sanctuary for Radical Faeries and their friends to gather in harmony with nature for renewal, growth, and shared learning);
shares our Seeds of Unity;
commits to our Interaction Agreements; and
agrees to learn about and practice consensus decision-making.
In the spirit of GAYAABAGS (Give As You Are Able But Always Give Something), we encourage you to support Nomenus with your donation in any amount, no matter how small or large. Recurring monthly donations of $5 or more are especially welcome, as are donations of needed equipment and supplies—see the Wish List and check with the stewards.
From the beginning, we practice NOTAFLOF (No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds): membership does not depend on your ability to donate. However, we invite you to consider donation as participation in a communal abundance spell. If a dollar is all you have, then kiss it with sparkly lipstick and stick it in an envelope!
May our generosity return to us three times three times three—and may all our needs be met, with plenty to share.
Here's the membership form.
We're a small group, and our volunteers are stretched thin, so we might not get back to you quickly. If you don't get a response within a month, email membership@nomenus.org
